It’s no secret that I’m addicted to PLAY Airlines. Cheap, upscale, international flights in which I’ve witnessed nothing less than a 10 out of 10 perfect track record for on-time flights with zero cancellations. They rock. On my most recent flight with them, I noticed a blue Pelican-like case in the overhead luggage bin. I didn’t think anything of it. Halfway through my flight, I decided take part in the little sticker on the seat backs.
There it was, the wireless SSID “PlayPal”. I joined it, and to my surprise, they use something crazy like a /20 network. Scanning the QR code simply takes you to https://playpal.flyplay.com, powered by bluebox. There it was! The blue Pelican case above me was the wireless hotspot!

Flight Map with Statistics
While in flight, you can get an idea of where you’re at, the plane’s current speed, and how much longer your flight will take. Before having this information available from PlayPal, I’d open Google Maps and wait for my phone to lock on to enough GPS satellites to tell me where the plane currently is. Now I won’t have to do that any longer!
Web Games
These games are nothing fancy, but they also work without an Internet connection. So if you forgot to bring something with you to keep you entertained, this could be a game changer (no pun intended).
